Frozen is back with its short film called “Frozen Fever.” Disney are really trying their hardest to squeeze every penny they can from this film aren’t they?

Frozen Fever is a small short film set during Anna’s birthday where Elsa tries to create the perfect day due to not having any involvement in the past ones. It opens up with Elsa putting the final details together for the big day with of course a bit of help from Kristoff, Olaf and Sven. Upon waking up Anna to start the magical and simply “perfect” birthday Elsa starts sneezing. Anna soon realises her sister is coming down with a cold... Wait a second... pause... the Ice Queen... the woman who literally lived in an ice castle has a cold... now... what happened to “the cold never bothered me anyway!”
Alright then let’s move on. The music begins and Elsa then hands Anna a beautiful new dress before then using her ICE powers to make herself a new dress and add colour to Anna’s... Hold it right there... sorry... I thought she had magical ICE powers not painting and costuming powers. Is she going through some sort of power crisis like Jack in The Incredibles? Her fever starts to get worse and worse and Anna begins to seriously worry for her sister’s health. Elsa to starts sway and stumble on words and acts, well, to be honest... drunk! But I guess being a bit over dramatic is in her nature... Every time she sneezes little baby snow men appear and ok they are quite cute, I will pay this awful excuse of a short some compliments but seriously Disney?

I am incredibly disappointed and embarrassed that this was even a thing. Of course it is Disney and they wrote a song to follow through this story but do not get your hopes up it is nowhere near as spectacular as “Let it Go” or even “Hakkuna Mattata” for that matter and is honestly annoying and poorly written. I hate to be so mean but as a huge Disney nerd and lover of all things animated and singing this really did not fit any expectation I had and puts a serious concern onto the now announced “Frozen 2”. They took one of the most beautiful, sassy and honestly quite sexy female characters and turned her into a worrying, stumbling, drunken mess. If you want to see “Frozen Fever” it is playing before the live action remake of “Cinderella” which opens up next Friday (27th March) in cinemas.
