Kicking off the night with ‘Apocalyptic’, the first single released from their new album, produced a deafening sing-along. More tracks from the anticipated third album ‘Into The Wildlife’ were revealed; Mayhem, Amen, Into The Fire and I Like It Heavy. Mixed in with these were previous songs from the Self-titled album and The Strange Case of… including the award winning Love Bites (So do I).

Queues backed up along North Street until the doors opened at 7pm where the merchandise stalls were first protocol for most with shirts priced at £20. It’s safe to say it was a free-for-all to get to the front but well worth it when you got there for your prized memorabilia.
Continuing on from Inverness on the European Wildlife Tour they displayed why they can still pull in the crowds here in Wolverhampton with impressive solo performances, especially drummer Arejay Hale. The extreme intensity and speed at which he demonstrated his playing ability caused a Johnny Bravo jaw drop to many, in addition he comically used oversized drumsticks at one point.
As usual Lzzy Hale erupted the crowd with her unique voice which sounded awesome live possibly better than the recorded tracks *unlike some chart artists*. She even demonstrated her instrument talents with multiple guitar changes including a champagne coloured double necked guitar.
The Civic Hall was turned into a cauldron of ecstasy (not meaning there was an array of drugs) with spontaneous clapping and fist pumping creating an unparalleled atmosphere. An encore was encouraged which Halestorm was more than obliged to do with not one but two songs; The Rock Show and Here’s to Us. A perfect send off.
Halestorm was supported by Wilson and Nothing More who were both energetic and should be checked out as they have the talent to headline a tour themselves. The European Wildlife Tour continues in the UK until heading off overseas to mainland Europe, for more information on tour dates visit: http://www.halestormrocks.com/tour.
Into The Wildlife is available to pre-order and will hit the UK on April 13th.
