Favourites and Hate-Its: Oscars 2015 Fashion

In any awards show, you always get those people that got their outfit choices spot on, and those that look like they got dressed in the dark. With this in mind, here is what I thought of the Oscars 2015 fashion choices. Were they my favourite or did I hate it? Find out below.

Favourites:

Anna Kendrick: There is nothing this woman can do wrong. I love her. This pastel coral number looks gorgeous on her, and is seriously flattering to her figure. I only wish she’d worn her hair down.

Cate Blanchett: The silhouette of this dress makes Cate’s figure really stand out and I love the simplicity. Not a huge fan of velvet but it looks so sophisticated on her! Oh and check out that bling!

Melanie Griffiths: Another gorgeous silhouette! I love the simplicity of this, showing that an older lady can still be beautiful whilst still jazzing it up with the sparkly clutch. Obviously her dress needed to be quite understated too so that all eyes were on her daughter, Dakota Johnson, who she was accompanying.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter: The resident newlyweds and parents-to-be both looked gorgeous on the red carpet together. Sophie’s red dress really suited her pregnancy bump and Benedict’s white blazer made him stand out against the sea of traditional black tuxes.

Dakota Johnson: I love this dress. Even it’s weird one shouldered rope strap thing. Dakota looks lovely in this dress, adding its ‘sexy’ quality with the long slit right up the leg. Exactly what you’d expect from the ‘50 Shades’ star.

Eddie Redmayne: Another person that everyone was watching at the awards. He certainly didn’t disappoint in this seriously flattering navy suit and bow tie. There’s just something about a well-fitting suit on a guy too…

Hate-Its:

Kelly Osbourne: She’s always been known for her gothic glam but there’s just too much going on here. The lace and the layers and the dipped hem and the sheer sleeves? It’s just too much.

Mogot Robbie: This dress looks like a piece of material draped across her in some kind of weird fashion. She literally looks like she’d drowning in fabric. And black, too. Boring!

Cloe Grace Moretz: For a teenage girl, she doesn’t half wear some ugly dresses. This isn’t at all flattering. The silk part at the top is also a bit odd and the pattern is awful. It looks a little bit like a pair of curtains.

Naomi Watts: Why is there a brick wall print on this dress? Why does it not have sides? Why is there a weird train on the end? So many questions! I guess some people will like this but I am not at all impressed!

Will.I.Am: He’s pretty known for his weird outfit combinations, but will.i.am is kind of wearing a shirt and suit jacket with what looks like tracksuit bottoms and some sort of trainers? How strange. This doesn’t work at all.
