Avril Lavigne fans left feeling awkward and £215 out-of-pocket

Fans of the seemingly ageless Avril Lavigne have been left feeling awkward and out-of-pocket, after a photo opportunity with the pop-punk star in Brazil. (Photo: Facebook)

The 29-year-old has recently stepped back into the limelight after a long hiatus from her pop-punk roots. Following her release of 'Hello Kitty', Lavigne started an epic 70 date tour starting in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Some superfans were even lucky enough to get their hands on £215 tickets, excluding concert ticket price, to meet the teen idol in person on the opening night in Brazil, but what they got was far from expectation.
Walking into the private room, fans were ordered by Lavigne's Brazillian guards to stand at-least an arms length away from her and not to touch her, making horrific photos for the fans to take home.
In the photos, there are a few awkward leans towards the punk-rocker, some with a thumbs-up and even one where a girl closes her eyes.
Nevertheless, it seems Avril was also upset about not being more intimate, as even she looks awkward uncomfortable with the situation.
