Nineteen year old Stephen Sutton has surpassed the expectations of doctors whilst living with cancer, and his upbeat attitude has inspired thousands more to join in his fundraising efforts for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
Last weekend saw the doubling of efforts to continue Stephen’s work, with raffles, sponsored activities and bucket collections throughout the country.
Here in the Midlands, Boots staff at the Orbital Retail Park raised £381.40, paying for the privilege to wear their pyjamas for the day and offering activities such as a nail bar and bake sale.
Comedian Jason Manford was also on hand to provide some laughs at his comedy club in Birmingham, with all proceeds going directly to The Teenage Cancer Trust.
Meanwhile Stephen has expressed his gratitude to the thousands of people who have joined in his campaign to raise money for the charity, commenting on Twitter: ‘Very happy right now. And £3million raised for @TeenageCancer, thank you everyone!’
